Very dark, wet and dismal again in Bristol this morning but still warm with it.But forecast is for some bright spells too so i am hoping to get outside to do some work.

It is pouring down steadily now so , encouraged by an email from my friend who is coming in the afternoon with his tulips from this year's display for me to give a second life in my garden (he changes his colour scheme every year) I will do some housework and bake a cake.  Next to gardening I love baking, and like the results when I have created a clean house so still a happymarion.

My friend was lucky - the sun came out and the rain puddles drained away and we were able to take a stroll up the garden after our coffee and cake.  He brought me a big box of Minnow narcissus and an even bigger box of tulips and a small box of chionodoxa and took home some Conference pears.  He liked the perfume garden I am making round the myrtle tree he gave me for my birthday.  It will be worth all the hard work.  Apples were falling all around as we walked past them.

Another dark damp morning in Bristol but supposed to be dry day on the whole and the next five days too.  I will work on my talk I am giving next week till it brightens up.

The sun came out so my three new to me primulas and blue and white salvia have all been potted up and labelled all x3.  All have superb root systems on them.

One of my violas from bargain basement end of season sale has a most unusual colour.

Another fine day in Bristol so will be out in my new perfume garden today, all day.  I have found a perfumed white flowered rhododendron i can move there and a white deutzia with a wonderful perfume I will put near the path.  I walk round the garden with fresh eyes now trying to spot plants with lovely scents.  There is a beautiful double flowered orange blossom  established just across the path which is a fine piece of serendipity.

oh it is so very very beautiful up my garden today in this perfect weather.  I think this picture of my Rosa "Oranges and Lemons" says it all.

    Hello Marion image

I've not been around for a while so thought I'd swing by and have a read of what I've missed on your thread. Goodness you've certainly been busy! Some lovely pictures image

Not much going on in my garden since my holiday, or the allotments either image I have some apple blossom plants that are still in flower and smell lovely still so they cheer me up on dismal days image

I cross over your road twice a day on my way to and from work and often think of you as I do so. Maybe when I'm rid of this silly cold that is hanging around and not doing anything much, I can message you and arrange to visit you and your lovely garden?

Snow it has a slight quite pleasant perfume but nothing as sensational as my "Golden Celebration" or "Maid Marion"!  Fruitcake get rid of that cold quickly and do come and visit.  I have a talk to give next Wednesday afternoon , 14th, so not that day.  And not in the rain!
