Always enjoy Monty's relaxed way of explaining things and encouraging one to do something. Knowng how busy he is with tours and talks and the programme it is good to see him 'just sitting'. A lovely moment with Nigel.image

I hadn't realised that Hostas had such a fragrance. I'm dividing mine today so will take notice in future. Have  just the one, neglected and pot bound I'm shamed to admit. It always blooms every year though. Agree about their garden flumpy, oh to have that space and to walk amongst such plants (Sigh ) Will have to be content with garden visits.

Agapantha from seed is quite something Marion, you really have got green fingers - and toes image. I'm crossing my fingers (and toes too) in hoping that I repotted my Agapanthas tight enough to get blooms this year.

So very mild in Bristol today from the start but rain forecast for very soon.  It is a tad windy.  Secret of growing agapanthus from seed is to sow them very fresh.  My SA fb friend when she visited me took seeds of mine home and soon sent me pics of them germinated.  The Bot. Garden in Bristol have some beautiful varieties including small ones and very dark blue ones.  This morning I will clean up some decent labels for my plants for the plant stall at Easter as I shall need about 30 labels,  First I will have to tour the garden to find superfluous ones there, wash, dry, erase old name, then write on name of new plant.  I have decided one of the three pittosporum trees I had for Xmas is enough in a half acre garden so the rest will be offered for sale to some keen flower arranger!  I hope the people who buy my gazania plants enjoy them as much as I did last year.  They are one perennial that just keeps giving.
