It stayed dry so first eleven pots of tender plants have gone into my clean conservatory and the roof vent closed for the autumn and winter though I kept the door open all day for ventilation. Emptied lots of rainwater from trays and pots so no watering will be needed for a while. Just going up to the potager for some herbs needed for supper and then a hot cup of coffee and relax after my labours. Forecast for tomorrow includes yellow warning of heavy rain.
Allotment sites seem to bring out the worst in some people. So dispiriting GWRS when you all work so hard. Our weather is fine this morning but heavy rain forecast for noon onwards and it does feel cold. Top temp. forecast is 14 degrees. I think I shall be bringing in more tender plants this morning. My tibouchina has buds on so I want to rescue that especially.
Me too GWRS. The autumn colours are so cheerful and warming. Michaelmas daisies are opening their buds now. And I have never seen such a crop of apples, pears and blackberries.
Expecting my next delivery of 9 perennial plants from the Secret Gardening Club between 11.22 and 12.22 this morning! Such wonderful delivery service from DPD. I do hope they get here in the dry. My first windowsill in my clean conservatory is now full up for the winter. Lots more to come in.

Second windowsill in my conservatory now full up - only three more to go including the very long one. Then I start on the floor and the table!
Look carefully and you can see my image as I take the picture - well I did clean the windows last week!
