Cold wet morning but sun shining so should be dry for my trip to the surgery to report on my heart medicine, but having a lousy cold as a result of my visit last week I do not think it is going to be possible to decide whether it suits me or not! A walk in the fresh air always helps with a cold anyway and i could get some sucking sweets to help with the sore throat and tickly cough. I might try a steam inhalation before i go too. Such a long long time since I had a cold I am a bit like a bear with a sore head. My daffodils and the ones next door are dancing about this morning looking super in the sunshine.
I braved the icy wind to the doctors but the result was inconclusive - a minor decrease in my heartrate so am seeing her again in two weeks. She did put me on an anticoagulant instead of aspirin as I had weighed all the pros and cons. It is a more modern drug than warfarin so not so much hassle about the right dose. I have all the yearly tests done on the !0th Mar. at the Healthy Heart Clinic. When I went into the pharmacy for my new pills I got some Blackcurrant Strepsils and sucked one all the way home - what a relief. Then a safari up the garden in the sunshine and the daffodils are opening by the dozen now.
During March there is anew site for subscribers to the mag. called GW Secret Garden. Changes every week. It is very lovely. My friend visited Nunnington Hall at the weekend when he was visiting friends in York - a lovely house and garden.
My Goodness we had a most horrible rainstorm in Bristol. Thank goodness I was not out in it. Anyone who was caught out in it must have really sore cheeks now.
Such a difference in the weather today. Warm, dry, calm and the sun is shining brightly. I am coughing and spluttering now with my cold so stayed in to catch up with correspondence and office work and now will cheer myself up with a stroll to the Post Box and up my garden when I come back. The daffodils look good from the kitchen window and I can see lots of primroses.
Despite the coughing and spluttering you have taken some wonderful pictures. Hope you are snuggled up inside now keeping warm as the wind is bitingly cold out there.

It was funny watching the hail bounce off the grass in my back garden!

So I coughed and spluttered my way round the garden holding on to trees and bushes for support with my camera round my neck. Here is the result.

Awww Thank you, Forester2. I felt better for the fresh air and sunshine and was pleased with the pics too.
