I think GWRS meant to type gooseberries not grossberries, Pat. Love your pics, looks like your spring is on the way - a bit like my snowdrop season.
It is very wet out in my garden. Lots of rain through the night which bodes good for the waterbutts. Still raining heavily and forecast is rain for next three days. Very dark and feeling cold after our mini heatwaves so typing this in a thick cardigan.
Morning Marion it's been blue sky here for the last three days, not that I've been able to enjoy it. Pat your spring flowers are lovely and I can see your dog as sneaked in on the photo there : ), if I can I will try and take some photos of my flowers, my Asters are just opening up and sweet peas are about 7ft.
Thanks everyone. typical of me not to wake up about the gooseberries - I thought you had a new kind of berry.
Flumpy, thanks for turning the picture up the right way. It does it to me all the time. When I download it, it's the right way up, then after I send it, it's turned - der! My dog is never far from me and often features in photos. She is losing her sight and hearing now that she is old, so is keen to keep me nearby. By the way, Vernun was having trouble downloading smiley faces recently, but don't know if he has sorted it out. It might be a problem with the whole system.
Marion, your weather sounds as crazy as ours Heat wave one week and then thick cardigan the next!
It's definitely crazy weather here at the mo. I live maybe about half a mile from Happymarion and she certainly isn't exaggerating - friday was cold and very wet, to the point that I had to turn the heating on for an hour. My thermometers registered a maximum of 12 degrees C. Yesterday was a lovely sunny day, perfect for the BBQ i had been planning for weeks and today we are back to it being cold and wet. My poor chickens don't know what to do with themselves in this weather lol.
Yes that's the silver lining flumpy. It stopped here just long enough for me to get to the shops for milk in case of visitors this afternoon, it being Sunday. Of course I had to go up the garden when I got back to check on Mr. Fothergills new sweet peas and one flower is open and quite beautiful - red, pink and white all in one flower. I will get a pic eventually but it is raining hard again.
I looked up the native Australian Herb which Pat sent us a picture of. Very interesting as the aboriginal people use it to make baskets as well as eating the bottom of the leaves as a vegetable.
