It did rain practically all day, but forecast for tomorrow is dry and warmer though breezy.  The garden looks very wet indeed from the house but I should have a good stash of rainwater now and more is forecast for Sunday and Monday.  If green wheeliebins can think mine is probably wondering why it is stood there empty.  Hardly ever happens as I am usually waiting for it to be emptied.  I ate my first ripe tomato - a Sunlem at supper and it was delicious.

I wish it would rain here. Dordogne is looking very brown, even the sunflowers in the fields are parched.

Oh I bet that was GWRS.  Yes rained all day in Bristol and again through the night,  I have collected quite a stash and onspected up the garden.  Everything is well watered The rowan tree's berries have coloured up so autumn appearing early.  I must get up there with my camera to take a shot of the new mr. Fothergills sweet peas - so new they have no name.  The colour is showing on the flowers to be red with white edging.  You should have heard my squeals of excitement when I saw that.  Busy-Lizzie there is bad weather on the way for northern France,  I do not know what El Nino is going to bring in the winter but it is causing a lot of hurricanes in the states.

Marion, have you heared from Flumpy?  I keep thinking about her. I don't like to send her a PM in case she's not up to it.  I hope she's coping OK.

it sounds as though you people in UK are having crazy weather as well as us. It makes planning garden jobs difficult, but you seem to manage very well.

Good morning. I'm in SW France, will be a bit cooler this week, mid 20s, but back to the 30s next week. Forecast said rain in the night but we didn't have any. Hasn't rained properly for nearly 2 months.

This gazania I grew from a plug last year flowered for eight months last year, survived the winter out of doors, had seven flowers cut down about a month ago and now has three more in full bloom and one just finished flowering.  The plugs worked out at about 10p each so th price of each flower must be miniscule indeed.
