  • Hi Jo, I am so sorry to hear your terrible news. I am still feeling unnerved by what happened last week to my OH and such awful news just makes me realise how lucky we were.

Such a terrible shock, so sudden and so young of course, I feel so sorry for all his family and friends, including you. What an awful shame. xxx

Me too, Jo. Best wishes for you and the other family. It's always such a shock. I can't imagine someone so young having that problem.xxx

An update on my irritating tussle with bureaucracy.  I have done a lot of local research and played " the daft wee lassie" with the guy who ironically calls himself the customer help line manager.  He has agreed the account sounds erroneous and we need to get it resolved., but he wasn't sure how.   So, at my suggestion we are having a full survey done.

meantime I have confirmed with the builders that we have a septic tank and that there is a suspicion as to where my water is going . ( new houses)  A meter seems tricky to install as the supply is not isolated. Not my problem.

all my letters, I insist on hard copy, have been cc d by me to the chief executive who has politely replied that it will be investigated and I will receive an answer by 15 th January 2016!!!!

meantime the harassment from the accounts dept has been suspended. I am not sure if any if this is progress but it's a start.

Thanks for keeping us informed Lilyp. I have been wondering how you were getting on with the problem. It's enough to drive you crazy, isn't it, good luck.

LP - it's a start. At least they're listening to you now. They never move quickly, but maybe they'll be a bit swifter because you'll be like a little terrier constantly nipping their ankles image

At least you haven't got to deal with the harassment from accounts.  You must be a good actor to come across as 'a daft wee lassie'image.  As the others have said - just keep going.  Best of luckimage.
