What really annoyed me was taking so long to get any help, in a major teaching hospital. At weekends it seems to be staffed by agency nurses and locums, many with a poor command of the English language. I had to tell the nurses and doctors what he should be getting. Six hours from us being rung, to him seeing a doctor, and then only by me stamping my feet.  God knows how anyone with no medical knowledge goes on.

    There are no words.

Fidget, your instincts were right, your beloved dad chose to go almost at the time he arrived.

you have been a good daughter, and I am sure he knew you were all there..

    Verdun thoughts are with you.

Fidget, I'm so sorry to hear about your father, sounds a dreadful situation, but at least the end was peaceful for him. It all sounds very stressful for you and your family though.

Matty will have an operation, but I expect she will come back and tell you herself.

  • Fidget ((hugs))  I'm sorry you've had such a sad and difficult time - but your dad was ready to go and for him it was peaceful (perhaps not for the rest of you though image).  We do have to fight for them don't we?  Perhaps it's always been like that image

You did all that you could for him and he knows that you loved him.

Verdun ((hugs)) thinking of you and your mum.

    And thoughts with Matty ((hugs))

So sorry to hear about your Dad fidget.  Your family have really been through the mill recently and you must all be exhausted, mentally and physically.  Lots of love and hugs.

Thinking of you too Verdun.  Very hard to go from day to day not knowing what to expect.
