    I would like to express sympathy too. It all seems mad, but I fear Fairygirl is on the right track and someone in some planning or rating office has decided to class you as a business that is making money.

    Maybe ask the water company to install a meter between you and the studio so they can assess the "extra" water used ?

    I rented a cottage behind a Manor House and they said they could install a meter between us to calculate how much I was using.

    Do you have local councillors in Scotland like we do in England Lilyp?  When I had issues with the Council I copied my local man in on all the emails and I'm sure it/he helped my cause. I do feel for you - they seem to be incapable of seeing the wood for the trees image

    The thing is that to the outside world and the powers that be it looks like a business.  If the therapists are making tax returns and setting outgoings against income etc , it's going to trigger all sorts of things unless it's set up properly.
