Another day of sadness, my cockatiel died yesterday and after 20 years I miss him and the house seems so quiet without his ' chirpings'. DH has buried him in a nice spot or the garden. Our pets really do tug at our heart strings, I may sound silly.....soory, but he was such a funny character
Really sorry to hear your loss Flowers, our pets are part of the family with more character than a lot of people! They only ever have good intentions and are happy to see you without fail! You don't sound silly at all yo me! Big hugs
Big scottish bearhug flowers. I've had dogs all my life and each time i lose one i lose a friend. Someone i talk too, share worries with and laugh with.
Thanks everyone, just got out of the shower and I think my eyes produced more water than the showerhead. I Have a couple of radios on to create some noise.........but he use to sing-a-long to it, so not too sure if its a help. We have had lots of pets over the years , so I knew it would be hard but he was the last and since the kids all left home he became my 'baby'. On the positive side DH and I can do more things/ go away as we are semi retired without worrying about who could have him. Thanks for ' being there' x

Morning Flowers,
Very sorry to hear about your cockatiel, always so sad when a pet dies and 20 years is a long time. And you definitely don't sound silly.
Not silly at all - ((hugs)) bless you.

Flowers, so sorry and not silly, pets are part of the family. Glad you are trying to see the positive x
Not silly at all flowers, pets are family and great company. Twenty years is a long time.
Take care, very best wishes and hugs from me too. X
