  • Another day of sadness, my cockatiel died yesterday and after 20 years I miss him  and the house seems so quiet without his ' chirpings'. DH has buried him in a nice spot or the garden. Our pets really do tug at our heart strings, I may sound silly.....soory, but he was such a funny character

  • Morning Flowers,

Very sorry to hear about your cockatiel, always so sad when a pet dies and 20 years is a long time. And you definitely don't sound silly.

  • Thanks everyone, just got out of the shower and I think my eyes produced more water than the showerhead. I Have a couple of radios on to create some noise.........but he use to sing-a-long to it, so not too sure if its a help. We have had lots of pets over the years , so I knew it would be hard but he was the last and since the kids all left home he became my 'baby'. On the positive side DH and I can do more things/ go away  as we are semi retired  without worrying about who could have him. Thanks for ' being there' x

Not silly at all flowers, pets are family and great company. Twenty years is a long time.

Take care, very best wishes and hugs from me too. X
