I read these posts with terrible sadness. What is our country coming to that they can not support caring family members. Thinking of you today. So much strength and support being sent to you through the site. Stay safe.

It was on the news this morning  that people should be looked after at home and stay with their families if they want to and care should be available. I remember this exact story on the news 10 years ago, things are still exactly the same!

We didnt get a good night I sat up with her until 3.30am then I told her I was going to the loo. I quietly slipped off to bed. At 5.30 she called over the baby alarm, ' lyn, are you there, are you in the loo' !! She is all there.

Pauline hugs. Please don't feel ashamed I sat by my Dad's hospital bedside 5 days and nights  ( in shifts) they had given him 24hrs. I willed him to die and when he did I felt relief for him, and us.

Pauline, there will be no help, unless I say I really cant go on, then they will probably  put her in a hospice, none of us want that. Thankfully it wont go on too long.

I have just been told, no help for today available. All I want is for someone to help me turn her so we can wash and apply some cream, put a dry inco sheet on. 15 minutes is all I need!

This NHS is disgusting, she told me to complain to someone higher up., I told her it wouldn't do any good if I complained to the Queen!

Could your husband help turn her? Or would it have to be a woman? I think the most important thing is to prevent pressure sores and keep her clean.  Do you have any friends who could help? I note she has an incontinence sheet. Does she wear those nappies for ladies? My Mum found them a great help.
