No poster can spoil a thread unless they're allowed to. Ignored, a post disappears up the thread, respond and it's effects continue.

  • Checking my begonia corns and discovered Vineweevil grubs happily laying their eggsimage    , oh joy a dozen of begonia corns binned, still an opportunity to purchase new colours for 2015.  Checked over over wintering fuchsias and repotted them, then treated with Provado Vine Weevil killer, fingers crossed they survivie.

Just what I was thinking, Dove. How heartbreaking. Is there any insurance that would pay, either yours or neighbour's - seeing as it's their tree that caused the damage? When next door farmer's cows wrecked our lawn the farmer's insurance paid to have it repaired.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Philippa so sorry to hear about the damage to your garden and the resulting damage to plants in your GH.  I'm glad you told us we can't help but we can understand your upset. Hugs. As for neighbour's son  image some just turn a blind eye, wonder if he does anything to help his ageing mum imageimage I would say more but don't want to spoil my manners.

  • Goodness, Philippa....'not the greatest disaster in the history of mankind', to others maybe not, but it's your property and it matters. image

So sorry to hear this & I send my hugs too.

  • Oh Philippa, so sorry to hear of all the damage etc. Hopefully you can claim on your neighbours/yours insurance.

    Big hugs x

Mike we can support each other on this thread where is the support from you ?

My mother has lived alone for 11yrs and her last memories of her marriage partner were of a dementia ravaged husband. She has her family as you have!  She is thankful for their love and support, no one will replace her husband, my dad. You bang on about girlfriends and then wail about your dear lost Val. My mother is 86yrs old and has more guts in her little finger than you have in your body. I wonder what your daughter's and grandchildren would think if they read your posts.

If we let MA spoils this thread I will so upset and blinking angry.
