I think Mrs F has a virus. Crohns disease is an auto-immune disease which basically means her immune system attacks her own tissue causing the inflammation. To try and reduce this, she takes medication to lower her immune response and thus reduce the inflammation. Of course a lowered immune response means infections and viruses have a great time,so its swings and roundabouts trying to find the right balance.

Thanks Matty, smokers always justify their smoking by coming up with things like..grandad smoked till he was hundred and never had a days illness.
I am not prepared to take that risk, nor my children, although my DIL smokes, she has a heart complaint and now emphacema(spell).Son has very bad illness that affects his immune system, goes in every so often for intravenus steroids. He has stopped taking all his meds now.
