Remember me saying I couldnt fit the night bag? Needless to say, the district nurse had just been and said, you wont fit that on there, I know that, said I, so she changed the day bag for the one compatable, and yippee! No more getting up through the night to empty the small one.
Mum needs to go to the hospital tomorrow to get the results of her biopsy, that has set her back a bit now, but she is walking by herself, no frame, no stick which is very good for someone of her age that has laid in a hospital bed for 3 weeks, and had completely gone to pieces over all this.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Fishy, I do hope Mrs. Fishy gets good results on Monday. And to all those of you caring for parents in their old age, I totally empathise. That was my life from 2009 to 2013, and I don't think I realised how hard it was when I was going through it, I just got on with it. But now I look back I realise what a toll it took. Social services was a minefield, and the NHS was by turns brilliant and terrible to work with. Lily, one of our good neighbours has just had the same operation as your friend, and it does take quite some getting over. I'm sure you will be a great support to her. Lyn, those bags do vary in quality - it is worthwhile asking for supplies of the ones you get on best with. We liked the Bard Uriplan ones best and our surgery did their best to source them. Love to everyone xx
