Good news Verdun, perhaps you might get some peace of mind now.
Runnybeak - what you were saying earlier about the little old lady who had changed for the worse. That is way too common in care homes and a disgrace that these people are heavily drugged just because they happen to be old. Last year I was prescribed one of those medications for anxiety - risperidone. I felt like a zombie, totally out of it.
Good luck to everyone here, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Verdun, so glad your mum feels a little better. Good luck today. x
My poorly friend is back in hospital and had tge operation to completely remove the bowel. She will now always have to have the Stoma. Which is a shame, but as long as she makes a full recovery that is the main thing. She is feeling very poorly and still in great pain due to the shingles. So very worried for her. Seems rather soon to have the operation while still so poorly with shingles.
SGL I wouldn't have thought they would do that op with her like that!
My mum has had a stoma for over 10 years now, she didnt want it reversed. She did actually say at the time that I would thank her for that in the future, should she ever become incontinent in that way! Bless. xx
Hope Verduns coping ok with moving his mum to a new home.
My mum asked me to get her up today to go to the sitting room and said she did not want to use the walking frame anymore, so she held my arm and walked all the way down the hall and back again for the hell of it. she is one tough lady!!
thank you for all your kind comments, thoughts and prayers. it is very much appreciated.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
I know Lyn, thats what I thought. She is in so much pain. And very very poorly. She also had to have a blood transfusion a couple of days after the op.
So pleased your mum is improving, very best wishes to you both x
SGL, your friend will probably start feeling better now, its awful what shes been through, but they wouldnt have operated unless it was necessary, bestest, bestest wishes x
Fab news Lyn, it sounds like your mum is made of strong stuff!
Glad things are getting sorted verd
RB, ive had the same problem with receptionists, drives me insane! They just give anyone who calls on the day a sit and wait appointment now, believe me, you wont wait for 3 hours unless you really need to see the doc! . Hope everything is ok with you x
