OK he's home. They did some scans which showed nothing 'untoward' and blood tests were OK too. He has to go back in a couple of weeks for a camera inside his bladder but so far so good. He has the antibiotics he was first prescribed,so I'm still not clear if they are treating an infection or not.

I want to thank you all for your lovely warm wishes. It makes such a difference and underlines the fact this is more than just a gardening site.

Lyn - please know that I'm thinking of you and your loved ones. I sincerely hope your Mum is ok and will be home soon. Keep us posted...

Thanks for the update Fishy.  It's a lot to contend with for all of you.  I hope your Dad is not too worried about further tests but so far so good.  xx

  • Fishy - it will be such a relief for you all to have him home.  The camera thing in a couple of weeks sounds alarming, but we all know now that it sounds worse than it actually is, and we'll keep our fingers crossed that the outcome is positive ((hugs)).

As I've said on CBox, I heard earlier that Pa was taken to hospital to get a problem with his catheter sorted out.  Brother  phoned the hospital and tried to find out whether he was being admitted or was he all sorted and being sent back - all the hospital could say was that there was no person by that name in the hospital at the moment - they could not say whether he had been and gone, or whether he was waiting in an ambulance queue.  Brother is currently driving up the A12  to visit him, wherever he is.

Anyone seen a nearly 95 year old with a RAF moustache on a hospital trolley anywhere?

  • Hospital still don't know where he is - they're going to look in some places where he might be  image  as he can't walk he's wherever they've put him - think Bro is getting annoyed!
