  • Thanks Verd. . I know you fought hard to get your Mum the best care when she needed it. I didn't cry until I read of your loss and it brought it all home to me.

And thank you to everyone else too, it helps a great deal.

My Mum was one of that generation which asked for little for themselves, and were always keen to see others were well provided for. I fear we may be losing that some of that selflessness, although I hope not.

WW, sorry for your loss, our mums belonged to the war generation, they were a very special lot. Brought up with hardship, no point in asking for anything, they wouldnt have got it if they did. They carried that right through their lives but gave to us everything they could.

Some lovely poems here, Grans and Clares, thank you.

Does this sound like a reaction to eggs maybe ?

Aching joints , swollen face and lips , blood shot eyes red blotches on body particularly neck and face ? It's not  me  . It's granddaughter and doctor has put her on steroids  .

    I'm worried again.

  • Dunno about it being because of eggs gran, but it does sound like a reaction, hope the poor thing gets sorted.

Its your job to be worried about your loved onesimage x
