Charlie I now understand image I did see a post from you prior to Xmas and could not equate the two.

I'm thinking of you all with tigger, where he had his tummy shaved  it might be cold in this horrible cold weather. Would he wear a doggie coat?           When my saluki was  pining for our German shepherd I did him a scrambled egg each day and chicken soup mixed with rice .

I'm a little ashamed that I've not been into this thread for quite a while so some belated well wishing is long overdue.

Verdun - I'm so sorry mate. Remember the good times and think of how much of a difference you made to her life. My thoughts are with you

WW - I'm really sorry about your Mum but hang on to all those memories, nobody can take those away.

David - what a truly dreadful thing to happen and I can't even begin to imagine how that makes you feel.

Likewise Lizzie - an awful event like that and now your lovely dog. As a dog owner I can empathise but I think you know what a happy life he's had with you.

Anyone I've missed I'm truly sorry, you are all very remarkable people and I really must do better in keeping an eye on this thread.

Thank you Fishy, but there's no need to apologise.

Hi BL - I've been away for a couple of days & unable to post before today.

I am so very sorry to hear about Tigger. Caring for loved but ill pets can be so traumatic - if only they could talk to tell you what makes them feel more comfortable. From previous postings it is clear that all your pets are as loved as any other member of your family and that you strive to do your very best for all of them.

I do hope you have a little more time with Tigger and are able to add some special memories to the memory bank over the coming days and weeks. Love him, cuddle him and treasure the time with him. So many of us have been down similar roads - we understand what a horrible time this is for you.

Thank you Topbird. He's perked up this morning, eaten chicken and rice and been for a short walk. Looks more cheerful. Perhaps the cortisone is kicking in. Vet again tomorrow afternoon. So many of us have dogs, I've had 6 border collies since 1978, it's something many of us go through, but miserable at the time. Dogs are such good friends. Amazing how they care for us so much.
