Micks gone shopping, but thanks for that Dove image
  • Thanks guys and gals

I ended up putting up the 2 x trellis and on the one i wanted for a privacy screen i planted Trachelospermum asiaticum majos. This evergreen climber looked really good.

I also picked Clematis tangutica Bill Mackenzie for the other trellis.

What are your opinions of my final selection?

I have my bamboo in the middle of the 2 trellis and ive left space for maybe honeysuckle.

I have emailed pics to Bekkie and she can post them if she doesn't mind as i only have a mobile device.

    Hi Mick,

Well,  we certainly didn't think of those did weimage so it shows how it helps to talk things through.  I don't know the Trachelospermum - a new one on me but the clematus you have chosen is a good one.  I grew that one many years ago in another garden and was pleased with it.

Look forward to Bekkie's pics.  Are you pleased with your purchases?

  • Yeah i am very pleased thanks

I have left intentional gaps to each side of the cluster bamboo and look forward to planting some honeysuckle, passiflora and fuscia maybe.

Yeah its hard to stop once you start isnt it image

Im gonna just go steady tho and work from the back.

I have a big square lawn which over the next couple of years i want to break up with shrubs, trees, and loads of various plants. I would like to walk around my garden and not through it if that makes any sense
