Bekkie, thank you for your kind comments about my garden yes it is Gaura lindheimeri (just looked it up !). Whilst it is bushy at the base it has very long stems which the winds twined together every which-way, at least four feet now and still flowering. Beautiful. Checking to see if I can divide it.
The coffee morning was geat fun, although the change in the weather meant I couldn't use all my 'shabby chic' skills . Had lots of help from Beaus it was good to talk through ideas.

freesias are a pain in the bum to grow, the only time i was ever successful was by accident! had some in a pot in the spare room which i forgot about, i think they like it hot and dryish, still worth a go, it might just be im hopless with freesias
bizzieb, those gaura are lovely, will they grow in part shade?

Beautiful flower arrangement artjak
. Echoing the colours I tried something similar with freesia in a jug
through the outside of the cloakroom window (crinkle glass) . With a bit of imagination, squinting and a close up it looks like a watercolour painting

Lovely freesias Bizzie
My friend in Devon sent me the most beautiful bouquet of roses and freesias yesterday
The scent is gorgeous! I'll try and get a pic later
I did think sweet peas were my favourites for scent but I think I forgot just how wonderful freesias were!
I have never grown in the garden
Are they successful does anyone know? Xx
