  • Hi all image I'm very new on here, only about an hour old actually lol. I saw this thread about shabby chic and I know its an old thread but I noticed its still active so thought I'd give a wave because I LOVE shabby chic! bought my very first home in November and I'm slowly turning it into a cottagey/chic house. I do all my own furniture too and well the garden is my next challenge and cant wait to test out all my ideas! pinterest is my best friend at the minute, so many lovely junky stuff! gorgeous homemade vintage bird feeders and hanging birdcages used as hanging baskets! I'm so excited to get stuck in!

    Welcome Laura and Deniseimage

Beaus your containers look lovelyimage.  I have just joined Pinterest too and am a bit flummoxed.  I have pinned a few things about borders and ideas for containers but got a bit disconcerted when it said two people were 'following' me.  Creepy, as I've not put any photos on.  Love looking at all the pics thoughimage.

  • Hi LesleyK don't worry, that's normal lol. When you 'pin' something it can go on to the newsfeed and others see it. If they like what you pin they might choose to follow you to see what other lovely things you pin image I'm obsessed with it! Got lots of categories for my boards but my 'garden' board is the thing at the minute. If you search 'vintage garden' or 'fairy garden' lots of lovely things come up. Id be lost without it now! If you're looking through the Internet and find a flower image on google for example, if you hover over it it should give you the option to 'pin' it and there it transports to your board of choice. Hope that helps! I'm so very new to gardening and I've lost my voice and work with children so I've taken the day off and I'm catching up on all my downloaded episodes of gardeners world lol. Monty Don is my new hero! I can say that here but not on Facebook haha
  • Beaus mum I'll post pictures when I figure out how to lol. I can't even seem to figure out how to upload a profile picture yet! My garden at the moment is terrible. Neglected by previous owners and is a haven for all the stray cats! My neighbour feeds them so they like to eat in her garden and well, you can imagine what they do in mine! I try to chase them but they just look at me blankly. Plus one looks very ill so I feel bad for trying to chuck him out image I'm sure the lawn must have fleas though. God I can't wait to sort it all out!
