BM it's that lovely tabby that means I've got to replace the oil cloth seat coverings, the claws split and tore them when she jumps up. Not intentional, but irritating nonetheless!
I'd love a farmhouse kitchen with blue cupboards! Our new kitchen is ultra modern and brown and chrome. It's gorgeous, but one day I'll get a lovely shaker style one. Maybe in a light grey based green, not sure I could convince the OH to baby blue for a whole kitchen the chairs were hard enough!
Awwww sweet pea I bet she is adorable In my house where i lived before I was all modern and was same as you got irritated by the mess and damage my cat at the time caused but in the house I live in now I've gone all country and shabby chic and the mess the two cats and dog cause I just like to think makes the shabby chic look more authentic Most likely I have mellowed as I get older and spoil my pets too much
Even if your kitchen is modern and I bet lovely you can still style it farmhouse wise tell your OH Just a few tweaks here and there and maybe a couple of additions!
We had cheap wickes kitchen when we moved in and I'm very lucky as my OH transformed it for me when I was inspired by British bake off!i promised him cakes but not got round to baking yet
Half the cupboards are painted baby blue and half cream and one cupboard replaced with pine sheLf
All dreams can come true to those who use their womanly wiles!
That's the privacy screen - it's almost finished - just a piece to go on the top. The bench will be the same colour once it's been sanded back to get all the old paint off. We put all the rest of the battens on and the piece along the bottom, after I took that pic. It's between the two apple tree 'boxes' ,behind a tiny pond (under way!) and will have grass in front of it once the buddleia comes out and the extension's built. Not much to do really...
The fence I was doing is the remainder of the boundary round the front garden. I did all the rest of the boundary last year. Daughter helped quite a bit with that as it was quite a lot of work.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
It's a cheap B&Q one called Bonsai. Nice sagey green and has covered well. The other branded ones were a bit dark or too blue for what I was after, so I was pleased with it.
