I remember scanning a lady through her pregnancy. She had a large tigers head tattooed on her stomach, it grew enormous during her pregnancy. I also scanned her soon after delivery. It looked awful saggy and with stretch marks running through it. Is canned her through two more pregnancies by the end you couldn't tell what it had been!

Hostafan, you're a man, I thought you were a lady for some reason......isn't it funny how we get the wrong image if people just from posts imageimage

Did someone mention David Beckham......I'd be happy to do an in depth study into his tattoos and report back image

Not a million miles away, Bal....I can remember when we were kids, dad used to let us carve our initials in the outer skin of the marrows when they were tiny. Of course (like your pregnant lady) they grew ever larger with the growth of the marrow.

Hosts fan, I gussed you were male, are you like all my gay friends, uber stylish and tasteful? What is that gene gay guys have for an eye for design?

I'd never have anything done on my tummy, back, bum or boobs for that matter! I'm happy to stick with my legs for now. image

Hosta, I'm happy to report I assumed you were a fella. Go me!

I work in a well known high street fashion brand, and there's an expectation to look funky and hip which is often problematic when all I want to do is throw on a big old mans shirt and some comfy leggings!!

As for why I chose to mutilate my body (image) it was because I hated the skin I'm in anyway and having artwork has changed that. People used to tease me for being a bit chubby now they ask about them. I barely get any disapproving looks and often I'll have old ladies ask me about them. Once an old lady in Marks' said how lovely they are.

I understand they aren't for some people that's fine, just so long as they appreciate just how much more confidence they've given me. image

Hi Sweetpea, tattoos are a personal thing and so long as you love them that's all that matters. I am in my sixties and have only recently had some tattoos done, just because I wanted them and I love them.

The only time i have considered  a tattoo was a memorial one for my late father, whom ironically wouldn't even let me put a transfer on as a kid, you know they ones you used to get with some chewing gum, but the more i thought about it the more i came to the conclusion, i have him with me in my heart and memories till the day i meet him again, and i don't need any external image's to show the world how i feel...

The only tattoo I've ever considered was my name, date of birth, and blood group tattooed on my chest or wrist. It was something that (when I worked in the industry at least) most racing drivers had as a matter of standard a sort of when all hope is lost at least they'll get your name right type of thing and maybe, just maybe, it'll make someone's life easier.

Not sure why I didn't get it done. Possibly because I was too busy working until it was suddenly too late.

I did used to have bright blue hair though - I told my parents it was for work (so that they could identify which sailing boat I was on from the shore) so got away with it for a while! Its rather a shame I never had a photograph while it was in its prime.
