I spent my last 3 years before early retirement working for a local independent dementia charity supporting people affected by any form of dementia.  Prior to that 15yrs with a national dementia charity.

I'm a midwife. Seems I'm quite attracted to new life, birthing, growing, nuturing, sowing and all that.

    Jayne

Before I trained in gardening, I did a lot of freebies for people doing their garden. Then   I started to get a lot of work as my wife is a mobile hairdresser and she advertised my works with her clients. Love the work, keeps me fit and would do it for nothing

It you feel confident  in your gardening expertise then you can advertise in a lot of free journals but sone times recommendations get you more work

Agreed.  Bits of paper are all very well but you have to have the experience as well - or instead.  Same is true in many areas - I've met sailors with paper qualifications but little or no experience at sea, and 'qualified' teachers who couldn't teach....er....my grandmother to suck eggs image

I had 20 years in an Xtra large bank as a trainer and cashier, but decided to get trained as a florist just before I took early retirement. I'd love to show that lot on the allotment prog how to arrange their flowers!

Am I being suspicious to expect some sort of advertising to appear when someone resurrects a really old thread for their first post on the forum?
