    star gaze lily the peachy apricot flowers are callibrachoas-also the pink and yellow-they are one of the great container plants-a petunia relative with none of petunias bad habits

     my favorite tree peony-the sky is milky opalescent, the sunlight distinctly cooler-the china dust is making its spring appearance

    Baby blackbird washing in the bird bath this morning.  Picture rather blurry but I used the telephoto lens.  He just sat in the water for quite a few minutes before he got the hang of it.  He has two other siblings which keep him company.

    or is this my favorite? forester in the spring prevailing winds bring the dust and pollution from north china across this part of north america-pretty but what beijing was breathing last week we see today

    Well spotted Star Gaze Lily - yes, it is a rubber duck which bobs about in the wind.  The baby bird was pecking it .
