Well, as some of you may know I 'rescued' a clematis at the end of last summer which I thought had died until March when shoots started to appear, and here is it's first flower just opening. I am very proud of it, but don't know which variety it is?

I also have a Cytisus Broom, which I have realised mustn't have flowered before as I always thought they were all yellow......as you can see, it isn't and it looks very pretty image

Try looking on this site to identify clematis. There are so many and your flower isn't really open yet.

That's just asking to get me into trouble Lizzie, posting a link like that image The first page has so many beautiful Clematis on already image I'm going to have a look in my label drawer and see if I kept the label.

That's a lovely clematis.  I found one scrambling through a horribly overgrown area at the top of my garden the other day.  Sadly it ended up in the bags with the ivy and nettles, I hope I haven't killed it off, as it had gorgeous huge pink flowers.  I haven't got to the bottom of that area yet, so maybe I'll find the base of the plant.  Good luck in identifying yours, OL.

OL - I have one a bit like that called Shimmer - she's a bit shy, so trying to hide behind the "sofa" in the pic below ....

There is also a lovely light purple one called Dianas Delight
