I'll be taking more photos and will enjoy reading about what you've all been doing - apart from keeping cool!!

Went to the plot today...early...to water GH, plant out and weed. It's been too hot in the afternoon for me.

In the NW, for the past 7 day's it's been torrential rain and thunderstorms, in between very hot days, so the plot is getting lots heat and water... and it's rained during the night or afternoonimage.  Stuff seems to be growing at a rapid pace.I've a glut of strawberries on the plot but a variety at home which is still green.

Spotted the first green pepper in allotment GH.

I'm in the  west midlands for weather but close to the Welsh border for the wet, windy weather.

Too hot last week, evening watering, the corn shot up, red cabbage looks good. Suprised the netting didn't collapse under the heavy rain. The garden needs weeding, lawns edged and to be cut, so an early start tomorrow - before more rain.

Wondered how all you out there with chickens are dealing with this sunny/hot weather ?

bought some blue water plastic piping and cut up for making arches over cabbage with netting , hope that makes sense ?

more potatoes , raspberries , strawberries and black  berries picked , it is really nice to pick , cook and eat fresh produce

lots of weeding done  and yesterday planted a big bed of leeks for the winter image
