Morning all, Saturday morning course at the Cotswold Gardening school was very enjoyable, I came home buzzing. Had a one to one session with Carolyn Tatham (award winning garden designer and lecturer at Highgrove!!) She was really helpful & interesting & we got on like a house on fire. Had a tour of her 9 acre garden after her lecture (which was more of a discussion really.) The school is next to her 15th century house, which in itself has an amazing history. Well worth going if you live in the West Country.
Spent Sunday at the allotment and have finally finished the beds (well, covered the last square metre with cardboard and muck as it was far too wet to dig), tidied and weeded, made 2 compost bays & pruned the fruit bushes!!All looks winter ready now.
What a weekend!!
p.s sorry about your chooks Fruitcake, I'm sure something will turn up

Oh, Fruitcake, how disappointing for you
. Wont say anything encouraging 'cause it wont help right now
Thank you Bizzie
the hunt begins for something new but I think I might wait now and see if anything comes up after christmas
What a shame Fruitcake, you must be disappointed
, I will keep my eyes and ears open for you and let you know if I see anything about locally
Such an odd day today: fog until midday, lifted to a damp mist, the sun broke through about 3ish, then had a drizzly downpour. Now clear skies.
A brief visit to the allotment, shrouded in fog! very wet underfoot. The grass is growing mind!!
Season of mists and all that
