Hi All, didnt get round to painting the shed, don't think my neighbour will help GG, I never see him, so chances are he will get a nice surprise ! Wood lice seem to be nibbling all my strawberries too Fruitcake, I have'nt had a whole one yet!image

Having to take it easy at the moment, pushing all the heavy wheelbarrow loads of manure etc have played havoc with my left arm and shoulder, so back lady has banned me from lifting anything for 3 days,  . image

I have been to my original plot today and come home with a bag full of huge, unbeastied strawberries image I pulled up a few huge new potatoes too image Despite only planting my brocolli a few weeks ago, I have brocolli already! It's not pickable yet but I'm amazed that it's as far ahead as it is.

At the other site, my cabbages are doing amazingly well. Beetroot and onions all looking good. Chickens still as mad as ever. Gooseberry bushes are looking so good that I'm gonna have to go pick a load to help ease the weight image Fermenting bin at the ready image

have be a fab holiday gwrs and Gina I hope your arm and shoulder are on the mend soon image

Thanks Fruitcake. Back lady banned me from going to my allotment, but I have been very naughty, sneaked up last night and planted some endives, and re potted some desperate pepper plants, took it very gently thoughimage Great that you have some strawberries, how have you kept them away from the beasties?

We've got strawberries and ice cream later image my dads FD present consisted of home brewed plum wine and blackberry wine and a big bag of gooseberriesimage New potatoes are coming out of the ground slowly- some are the size of a mans fist! I'm sick of broad beans though image

Everyone seems to have been busy.

Went to the plot yesterday and today. Strawberries not ready yet on the plot but picked my first from the patch at homeimage Planted out beetroot, more chard, spinach, corriander, pumkin. I have to go every two to three days now to keep stuff watered in the GH. The glass is in and it's planted up, still some room though for the late seedlimngs at home, if they'll only just grow quicker image

Broccoli has bolted so I've pulled it all out, think I'll put kale in it's place.

It's the longest day today, on a positive note the weeds will slow down now as the light reduces and vegs will start speeding up without the competition.

Plots were inspected this week. If any are not looking tidy a letter is sent out to the plot holder. Strawberries are being picked all the time they are so nice. Turnips are really good this year so are Broad beans. Still no rain here maybe Monday.
