Verdun, would you please be kind enough to take a photo. I'm always wary of buying online plants, esp when they're a bit on the pricey side. I'm used to buying wholesale, not retail. I think it's made me a bit mean. image

Another good supplier - Julia's Garden.  I found her on Amazon.  I got twelve 8/9cm ranunculus corms (and there was an extra one thrown in) and after I had soaked them they do seem very big.  All planted up so I guess how they grow is the best test but so far so good.  Full instructions supplied together with a hand written note!

    Love the hosta Verdun.

I'm reposting my response on another thread to bump this one up.

I've had excellent experience with the Reads Nursery, Pomona Fruits,  Trehane Nursery and David Austen Roses. And King's Seeds and Moreveg for seeds. (And our local GC!) I know the RHS does mail order, but I've never tried them. I bought a beautiful plant and bulbs from them at Wisley, though, so I would give their mail order a try too.

http://treeseedsonline.co.uk/ is one of my favourites. Jackie always sends good seed in good condition, and sends it out well wrapped and very swiftly. No sooner than I have a project planned, it is on the window sill soaking/sprouting ready for planting/stratifying.

She also does a few pre-stratified seeds which are great if you've missed the planting season or can't wait.
