Have just returned from GC and realise that in my last post I said I had received three free eryngium from Hayloft. This is wrong and I now know what eryngium look like. I should have written erysimum.
Hi folks, Kelways get my seal of approval today. A few days ago I was shopping on their site and was going to order a Sarah Bernhardt peony and Cimmeron Strip Irises but before I paid I noticed the expected delivery might fall during my holiday so I didnt order. Received an email the next day saying that they had noticed I had not completed my order and asking if there was a problem. I emailed them back saying no real problem just worried about the delivery date. They replied saying they would deliver on a guaranteed day and if I wished to complete my order just call them. This I did, they took payment over the phone and the irises and the peony arrived today well packaged and in perfect condition. That for me is great service and also good business. Gold star.
Received some plants from Hardy's a week ago which I ordered as they had several perennials I hadn't seen for sale together elsewhere. I hadn't used them before but it seemed to make sense to only pay one lot of postage. I'm giving them 7.3 out of ten.
Wide selection of plants, different varieties instead of the same ones you see everywhere, however they took 14 days for delivery athough I was informed of the date a week in advance . One plant is discoloured and doesn't look in the best of health but I think I can fix it and the rest are healthy. They removed some seeds off my order and invoice without comment and have yet to respond to my query as to whether they are unavailable or will be dispatched at another time. Bit of a weird carry-on if you ask me.
Received an order of plants from Crocus this morning, ordered on Sunday. I know other forum members have had issues but I have to say excellent again with me. Some were sale plants but all very healthy and sizes as described.
I think I'm going to have to make a list Verdun, for whenever I'm searching for a particular plant and go through them methodically. That would save a lot of dead end googling.
Hi Victoria, just revisited this thread. I bookmark the pages of specialist nurseries and name them with the plant they specialise in this saves me time when Im looking for something specific.
Had my delivery from plantsforshade.com. All of them were well established, well packaged and in good condition. I was especially impressed with they Epimedium. Ive not planted them and they seem to have taken well.
My choccowatsits arrived from T&M, small but lots of roots and in good condition.
I'd like to add Priory Plants if it is not on here already.
Ordered from them for the first time last week and received the plants today. Nice healthy plants and I thought they had an interesting range.
Some items weren't available but I was contacted straight away and informed of alternatives and close colour matches. They were even kind enough to humour me when I asked for a surprise plant as a substitute for one that was out of stock and spared the time to email me instructions on conditions.
