It sounds like OH is not particularly enjoying far North Scotland. He got there to find a confused landlady who took the booking but then forgot and had no room left. So he was billeted on to a neighbour, who doesn't really do B&B. At least he wasn't in the back of the car.
So after telling him that they didn't do evening meals, she asked him what he wanted for breakfast. Cooked, said.OH. So he got porridge made with water and salt and oatmeal. He found a Tesco, selling local produce, Haggis rolls, some sort of pie, etc. Good job I packed him some fruit and instant soup, and nibbles.
I suspect he won't be complaining about my cooking next week.
After it stopped hailing, it steamed dry here, so I hacked down the spirea and put it through the shredder. Time for a glass of wine I think...
Hello everyone Not caught up on everything but sounds like everyone (apart from Verdun ) has had too much rain today. I had rain all down the M62 and thunderstorms in Hull....rubbish. Now I'm tucked up in bed in my hotel room watching Spring watch in peace, bliss
Lucky you Lily, glad it was nice for you in your day off, it makes it even better doesn't it?
I'm going to sleep in a minute, just waiting to speak to my big boy who seems to have been in the showier forever and a day, I thought teenagers weren't meant to like showers, mine seem to be the opposite (thankfully!)

Found out today I'd missed one set of open gardens near me
They were this weekend just gone
Air is a lot clearer now following the shower
Verdun - I was joking

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

I had one son who loved the shower and one who wasn't keen.
Had the odd rumble of thunder, raining now. Was very still, windy now.
