Late home again - haven't seen the garden since the weekend - but Day off tomorrow. Might treat myself to a glass of midweek (and thus contraband) wine
Going to meet sister and nieces (same ages as the chicklets) in London - bit of Olympic Park, bit of shopping, bit of dinner, lots of chat ..... And cake
MrsG - go and warm up before you catch a cold, you mad lady
Oops - missed Lily too. Love your sunset - stick with it
Ggirl -I've lost count of the number of buckets of paint I've gone through here! I got timber delivered last week and also half a dozen bags of sand so it was on a pallet...I thought of you right away! I'll use it for a lid for the compost bin
Lesley - my youngest informed me today that she intends moving out by the time she's twenty. This is the same child who, when she was about nine, wanted me to convert the garage at a previous house so that she could live there when she was older....
KEF - know what you mean...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hi everyone Well hair done, all my washing and ironing done and will be packed (my stuff anyway!) in the morning. Whilst we are moaning about little ones....my youngest (13) was moaning to the eldest that I am getting too organised and too stressed about the holiday, can't understand it because we don't go until Sunday!!!! To which I explained that seen as everything is left to me and I'm usually running round like a headless chicken and stressed to the max the day before. I am determined that I won't be.......I still don't think he understand!! He will on Saturday when I get him up at 8 and give him his jobs list while I take the dogs to doggy minders
I'm exactly the same OL - i think i have a genuine packing phobia - even have nightmares about it (they replaced the old ones about getting into an exam room and realising i had revised the wrong subject). OH says if thats all i can dream up to have nightmares about, then i must have led a charmed life.
i find the only way through it is lists, lots of them, with one master list to keep track of the sub lists ......ok, so i think i have a problem
Don't hold your breath Fairy - he promised he would be out by the time he was thirty. If we disconnected Sky he'd be off. I'd just be left with OH moaning about missing sport.
Slightly random but I'd love an electric saw for a certain time of year. You know the one, when you decorate trees, buy turkeys and sprouts that not many like (love them), crackers, fairy lights - always lights up the room
Not seen my garden for nearly two weeks now but I'm informed that the grass has been cut. The one here looks nice though
Chicky, I have about 4, maybe 5 lists going, I even started another one in the hairdressers, I'm sure I've missed something off the list (s). To be honest the last few holidays we have had I haven't been that organised and ended up so stressed, which is why I am trying very hard ti make sure that everything is done by Saturday so I can then just do the cleaning and my nails etc......and relax
Lesley - if I disconnected Broadband my two would be off to live with their Dad....hey - there's an idea...
I thought you meant a chainsaw there
I could never get excited about holiday packing...if it was left behind, I improvised. Just had to make sure I packed for the correct place though. Slightly different clothes are needed for hillwalking in Braemar than Italy in July ....
I remember going on holiday to the Lakes when the girls were young. Littlest fairy was about two. I opened a drawer which contained all her little clothes, removed the entire contents and just put it in a case. Job done!
