Yvie - i do as Lyn does and grow nerines in pots that i keep in an unheated GH all winter.  I get flowers that way, whereas the ones planted in the garden produce leaves every year, but never any flowers (they've been in 5 years, so i've given up hope.  Should dig them up really, but they are doing no harmimage).  Hope you made it through the snow for Nanna dutiesimage

Littlest chicklet is on a school trip (GCSE mocks finished yesterday) to the theatre in London.  Treat for the girls - less so for the parents who have to be there for pick up at 11.45pmimageimageimage.  Need to find a way to stay awake til then.  If this evening's snow arrives I will be sending OH - i hate hate hate driving in the white stuffimage

Have watched Britain's Best Gardens. One of them was East Ruston Old Vicarage Gardens which some of you visited last year.

About butter, afraid I don't like anything else for spreading on bread, toast or crumpets whether it's fattening or bad for you or not. Tried other things, yuk! But I often use olive oil for cooking, or peanut oil as it can reach a high temperature before burning than others and it's non-saturated.

Our snow has all gone, we only had a smattering, its poured with rain all day. I would love a real snow storm.

On the butter debate, I dont eat bread or butter at all and buy Anchor Light for OH sandwiches, Always cook with RapeSeed oil.

Well done Matty, do take care though, its very cold out.
