There's Beechgrove taped from this morning. And then I will be early to bed - have to be in the office at 7am .....which requires a ridiculously early start
Glad Dove and Wonky had such a fruitful day and that plans are being made....look forward to seeing them come together
Lovely memories Liri - so important not to let them fade
thanks for the hellebore advice - I will keep culling dodgy leaves as I "spot" them
Looking forward to tomorrow afternoon. Going to a local garden to look at their spring flowers - he specialises in Mecanopsis, but I'd be surprised if many of them are out yet (he's another 200 feet higher up than I am here). Don't know what else to expect, or if he'll have any sticky-labelled plants for sale...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I'm off to sticky label heaven soon: wholesale nursery where the owner has over 250 varieties of Hosta, and , as a loyal customer of over 25 years standing (when he was still in school and hid dad ran it) , he sometimes sells me " something special"
Well I'm back, can't say I'm in one piece, didn't go to Harlow Carr, just the cycling and way way too far! Even the hot tub hasn't sorted me out. Maybe a glass to celebrate Evie and OH anniversary well done and congrats. Once home I did unravel a clematis Montana so I could take it out of its pot and plant it in the ground, it behaved very well. Trying to cut out some grass to extend a bed beat me though, it'll wait for another day. night all.
Liri, sounds a wonderful place to sit and remember happy times. Hugs x
Love bare feet too, not a lover of shoes. Only wear them because I have too. Don't really understand the passion of shoes......soz I do make sure the right ones go with the right outfit tho, but would rather go bare footed.
Quick hello from me, too tired to mention everything from reading back but gratz to Yvie and OH for 40 yrs, love to Reggie and his poorly belly and bad luck to Panda for over indulging but at least you didn't spit it out after tasting
Need sleep after long shift but lovely evening with OH watching IPL cricket

Agree, Hosta. Will have to find a Poldark substitute...
Runny, you're absolutely right. My dad died 16 years ago and it still seems like yesterday - lovely to have a special place to remember him.
Wonky, hope you have a lovely relaxing evening after all that hard work!

any excuse for " a glass to celebrate" is ok in my book. Even if it's celebrating getting through the day.
