Hello all, I so wanted to get into the garden today to try and sort out the pond but it is so wet and horrible out there - I am staying in, have watched one of the Great British garden revival borders and kitchen gardens again like to watch things again for ideas
Clarington really like how your pond is going hope you fish like it
Go on - go on - go on get one 4thPanda you know you want one
oh and forgot to say that a few daffs our out at the station garden
Going out tonight for a really romantic evening Rock band playing at nearby pub and pie & pea supper. OH can yell romantic things at me. Considering going in my wellies.
Just had coffee and carrot cake Before that I was finishing laying the paving stones on the 2 side paths in the veggie garden. If I do the main path I must get another 50 pavers. They are so heavy!
Before that I was painting my new shelf, for over the radiator under the sitting room window, with varnish. It's oak. Will be temporary home for my seedlings as French houses don't have window sills. Now going off to do 2nd coat.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Shopping trip to Bournemouth more or less waste of time...goods sold online in a particular store not available in the store itself... off to Southampton, finally found what I wanted. Went into record store to buy latest Gregory Porter ( anyone else a fan?), and came out with 7 CDs . Main road out of Soton now has broken manhole in middle of 3 lanes, so just about missed that. Loads of standing water but wind probably not as bad as feared. As I said earlier we have just about turned the corner Now going to cook Monkfish and Scallop pie for tea.
Thanks for the advice people think I will pot up for a bit.... There is a heck of a lot of growth on them already so.... Just been to the GC at mum and dads my lo loves it as there are animatronic dinosaurs and bailey( that's what my lo calls him)
Shame I don't have the room he's £1750!!!! ( and the cash) bought mum a vibernum and a daphne and she bought a fab euphorbia called humpty dumpty that is really nice ...... I bought a very unusual foxglove the leaves are almost like wallflower leaves and a blue grass for the wooded garden..... So not a bad holiday haul lol back home on Sunday to see how sodden the ground is.... Lucky we don't live 6 miles either way ( Staines and windsor) right I may have a little snooze..... Laters peeps
