Fairy - love your Glen Miller story (i played the clarinet too in my yoof - not much call for it now) - funny how every now and then you hear something that knocks you for six ((hugs))
Biology exam went well (yippee) - just hav chemistry (tues) and physics (thurs) to get through and then we can all breath again
Dove - can't drink pernod - overindulged about 30 years ago and even the smell still turns my stomach . But hope friend arrived safely.
great looking potatoes KEF - hope they tasted as good as they looked.
springwatch episode 3 now watched (i am way behind) and now a bit of Monty....
Isn't it great coming in after busy day in the garden having a shower getting the jammy's or ones's on and settling down to watch gardeners world, with a wee glass of wine, only problem is it's been that good a day the tv has not been on so gardeners world isn't recorded, a well criminal minds it is then, there you go dear here's the remote... (collecting brownie points for the world cup)
Just got in from a lovely day out. (Thank you Lesley) been scorchio
Went to the seaside! A lovely walk along the beach then a pub lunch. Then later on the way home we had a meal out and bumped into some friends and had a lovely evening with them
Good morning all Still warm and dry here - but thunder, lightning and hailstorms promised for later - seedlings in pots etc all under cover with the toms and chillies.
Friend arrived 7.30 ish last night so lots of chatting, eating and drinking happened - eventually I left them to it and went to bed - no idea what time OH came up - I was sound asleep. Of course, there's no sound from OH or the spare room this morning. However, croissants are proving on a baking tray and as soon as I hear footsteps upstairs the oven will go on. Raspberry jam and orange juice and a big pot of coffee will keep them good company
Of course, with all that going on I missed GW, but it's been recorded, so will watch it later.
We're off to visit the Aged Ps later, then have a pub lunch ........ well, that's the plan anyway.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
It's a really nice morning at the moment looks like the rain wont hit us til around 09:00 so I've a couple of hours to potter around with my mug of tea.
I hope you've all got lovely plans whatever rains on you!
