Scorchio here too - it's been up to 25.4C image  I just poured myself a Pernod and then realised I'm supposed to drive to fetch OH's friend when he rings to say his train's in - given the Pernod to OH (he doesn't drive) - he's made me a long cool fizzy Elderflower Pressé image

What a day! Scorchio here too! Managed to paint the raised border today and plant out the final bits of bedding. Hoping they don't get ruined by the the awful weather forecasted tomorrow!

Dove - love Elderflower presse. Always reminds me of summer.

Clark. Hope you manage to get your lawn cut. Hoping my OH will do it when he gets home from work.

Evening all. Been outside all day, splitting phormiums and sowing basil, spinach and more poppies  image

In for a cuppa, but since the girls are away and I'll just be eating whatever's lying around, perhaps I could just visit you Dove....if I leave now I'd be there around midnight...image

I see John H is being cheeky. Will have to think of a suitable punishment. Plague of  snails maybe...image

Listened to Jeremy Vine while doodling around today. Terrific - very moving.  Got very teary when he played Moonlight Serenade as my Dad played with the Glen Miller orchestra a few times after Miller went missing. The little clarinet solo would have been his part.

Evening image It's the weekend image image

Have been out tackling more of the weeds and planted some of the plants bought the other day image Still have a chunk to go and two plants to put in. Not sure that they are going to go with, what seems to be developing into a purple and white bed, as they are salvia hot lips and a red penstemon . . . . oh well. I've never colour matched before so why start now!! image image

Hope all have had a lovely day and have a good evening. Am off to Guides in my shorts image

Panda what size are your shorts if there are guides in them?...image

Off to cut the grass soon as it will have dried out now from all the recent rain.

Hi all.  Just finished a day's work.  Posted a new thread about three problems I've found but on the whole the garden's done well while I was  away.

    All had a good day?
