    Morning all.

Hoping you all had an untroubling night. I'm yet to go and check the greenhouse is still in one piece.  Hopefully today will be a quiet one.  As the radio just said - 1 down, 2 (storms) to go.

  • Good morning all image  I hope you're all safe and well and had as restful night as possible.  It seems that our storms are all part of the same system that caused Bill's terrible ice storms across the Atlantic - and apparently they're still having them!

It seems strangely still outside this morning - overnight temp in the back garden went down to 2.3C and has only risen 0.2  so far this morning.

A trip to the dentist later this morning - I shall use my brand new bus pass for the first time! image

You're so right artjak - makes us remember we are not in control.

all safe, well and damage free here.  Hope others are as fortunate

  • Good Morning everyone. I don't know why but I have a feeling in my water that we have turned the corner. Clearly still grief for many , and my thoughts are with them, but the worst is behind us.

Lots of lessons will have been learned for next time, new investment in flood control measures will flow, and communities will be stronger.

All we need now is a chance to start some serious gardening.image

Lets hope so Woody, although I think it's now the North's turn particularly with the winds.

Hope everyone is ok this morning, dreadful news stories again on tv.

All survived here, just one hanging basket blown off and neighbours bin to retrieve. Sun's out and calm for now.
