I have failed to keep up to date on here again. Hope all are well and gardens are blooming.
Went to GC yesterday to see son singing and dancing in his school choir. What a great idea from the school, they couldn't have chosen a better location! It'd be rude not to ... so I came home with slug pellets, epsom salts, a nice ornate boot scraper (may not last long but looks good and only ??2.99). Oh and a gypsophilia for the feather bed.
Not on here last night as at an 'open evening' getting new inspiration for a change of career. Scary, at 27, expensive and takes a few years so lots to consider, but also a contact to phone today which I may be suitable for to start straight away.
Mrs Sulky here, the wind is quite cold as well as drizzle. Will be collecting the leaves that have fallen from roses due to blackspot and then off to do some retail therapy. Doubt I'll buy plants as too wet to plant them and nowhere to grow any on, unless I buy a coldframe. Most of the plants in smallish pots are wet through and I've run out of cunning plans to keep them dry.
New GH looking good part built in garage and area for putting concrete base has standing water. The forecast for a lovely weekend now says storms and heavy rain for Saturday. Better take my credit card today !!
Morning All, like Kef I can't bring myself to say 'good'. I've had a quick catch up, you were all busy chatting yesterday whilst I was busy stuck on the M6 in torrential rain. I was so tired last night and felt groggy so had an early night, I didn't even check my GH or garden for the first time in weeks so hope it's all ok.
I agree re the cleaner Punk, we had a cleaner until a couple of months ago but there seems no point now when I work from home 2 days a week and so does OH, but I used to spend as long 'tidying' as the cleaner did cleaning.....teenagers don't understand the 'tidy' concept!
Can't wait for weekend, this week seems so slow. Our good friends for dinner tomorrow night, it's gala day on Saturday and we are meeting a football friend of OH's and his wife for drinks - I don't know them so a tad nervous. Then Sunday we are off to Oulton Park to watch touring cars, I hope this weather perks up!!!
Mum is having a CT scan today, I was going to take her but can't.....not my doing but that's another story
Right, off for a mooch and a catch up.
Have a good day everyone and hugs for the fed up workers. MrsGarden, good luck and keeping my fingers crossed x
Morning all.... We have just got back from a fab fab holiday in corfu.... I'm all rested and relaxed or I was till back to work... Hope you are all ok will pi back later to catch up on all the goss xx

Morning all.
Tidying house, as the cleaner is coming today, does that make any sense?
Weather grim again, but I do need to plant out some dahlias and Cannas. Some of my biennial seeds are also ready to be pricked out.
Have a good day eveyone.
When you don't even know who's in the team
S.Yorkshire/Derbyshire border
Morning Pdoc - makes absolute sense to me - cleaners are for cleaning, not tidying - goodness knows where they'd put things
That being said, when your cleaner's finished up there today, could he/she spare a few minutes to pop down here - we've got a guest for the weekend
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
