Morning all.Lovely day here but very chilly - 5 degrees when I went to put some washing out there. Pity I have to work though
Not caught up with anything on here, so not much idea what anyone's been doing. Too weary last night after all my exertions and had other things to do as well. Grass all cut, edges, done and ground under hedge tidy, as well as getting the rest of the front fence more or less completed. Just the posts to cut to the right height and the gate to make and put in. All painted too. Some other stuff in back garden done as well. Had a piece of little fairy's cake as a reward
Off for a look round to see if I can catch up
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Yes BM, the hedge has done for my shoulder again, when you have to trim the hedge with loppers- youve let it go too far!, the pile of prunings is taller than me, all dumped in the front garden, its gonna take weeks to get rid of that, and i still havent finished!
Did you get all your jobs done?
Very sad to hear about Richard Attenborough, but at 91 he has had a long life which seems to have been filled with doing what he loved
OL, note pad for you too i think lady, lots of things happening for you at the moment, sometimes your brain cant manage it all , nice things x
Clari, its no good love, you will have to make a time machine, im sure you are up to it!
Good morning everyone, though the rain radar looks particularly dire. At least the garden will benefit and my next few jobs will be easier...but why on a public hol? Summer is definitely not over yet. Will be some great days yet.
Our Cricket Club fete has already been cancelled or possibly postponed.
Had tea and chips on Lyme Regis Cobb yesterday. Went off in Verds. direction but turned back at Exmouth... natives not friendly. ( truth is we were delivering someone to stay with her family) .
Yes BM, the green bin is chocca, will be filled every 2 weeks for ages i think! Dress is ready, spose id better paint my toe nails and get the blingy flip flops out!
Just seen that report about hospital food, my OH did a project on it when he first graduated, the allowance for each meal hasnt increased ( at least in the hosp he worked in) since the 60s! Apparently there is more money for food in prisons than in hospital!
Not raining here bekkie - glorious blue skies that's the problem- so much to do , so little time...
Don't think the pix would be very exciting BM- mainly fence and also a privacy screen for the back garden so just lots of painted timber really! The screen will be finished soon I hope. It backs the little pond I'm doing so once it's all done I'll do pix.
Have you not been in your house long bekkie? I'm intrigued as to how a hedge is that high if it's cut every year. I used to do Dad's beech which only got done once a year like my old hornbeam one. Privet at last house needed done every couple of months through the summer to keep it smart - it was a long one bordering a field. The sheep enjoyed me coming in with the ladders and hedgetrimmers though! I tidied mine yesterday too, but it only went in as a bare root last November, so only secateurs needed for now really. What kind of hedge is it?
