Great cake Ggirl - hope you enjoyed your day yesterday - glad to hear you managed to fit a GC in to the celebrations.

Fingers crossed for you Punkdoc.  Really hope you stay dry.  Lots of my colleagues desperately worried - but so far all have escaped damage - long may their luck hold.

Not good news punkdoc! fingers crossed it doesn't raIn any more or the water goes down a bit before it does, it must be so worrying image

Dove, I've toughened up and ignoring whinging now from Ollie. Hope your headache gets better soon ((hugs)) image

Verdun, I won't say too much, but agree 100%!! Our food-bank gets smart-price from Asda as my donation in the hope that someone will be grateful for it.

punkdoc . save the wine and the spurs programmes . best of luck image and be safe

  • Went down the hill into Marlow today - the flooding was unbelievable, most of it coming up from the water table rather than the river - god only knows how long it will ever take to drain away, as the valley is a couple of miles wide and edged by steep hills. Fire and rescue are doing a great job for residents, with a large command post set up in the park, and huge pumping engines in the streets and lanes.

Most scaring is seeing Marlow lock and the weir, where the water levels are disappearing - normally there are height differences of six to ten feet. Yet my allotment is only ten minutes walk up the hill, and the ground is just about workable - crazy times!

Good luck to all of you affected by the water.
