I left the car inside light on once, just after I got divorced. It was parked at the side of the house. My ex phoned me up to tell me the light was on and the battery would run flat.......Now that was really weird. How did he know? He says he was just passing.....

  • Good afternoon all,

    Hope  everyone is okay.

It's been a lovely afternoon. I've cleared a bit of the greenhouse out of tomato plants and potted up some snake heads. Last year a mouse ate the snakies I planted so have covered these ones with a wire grid.

I read once that if a phone was dropped in water sometimes covering it with dry rice can restore it. Need a lot of rice for a laptop, though, Lizzy.

Dove, it wasn't the first electrical event with that car, all down to water, cured now. There was the day when OH arrived home, turned off the ignition and the engine kept running. I know which fuse to pull out if that happens again.

Nut - that sounds familiiar image  My ex once bought a car from Diss deadstock auction - he's not the most mechanical of creatures and he'd not even lifted the bonnet or started the engine to check it out before he bought it - reasoning that if it had reached the saleyard then it must have an engine that worked!!!

Previous owner had installed a CB radio (it was back in those days) and wired everything up wrong.  You turned the lights on and the radio switched on, tried to use the heater and the lights came on, seem to remember the horn sounded when you used the rear screen demister - it was something like that image  Easier to sell it for £25 than get it put right.

No my ex wasn't useful before I got rid. He told everyone he wasn't going far because I couldn't manage without him. He would have had to sit at the bottom of the drive to see a light on.  Stalker or what?image

My ex and his mother always used to think I would never cope with child bearing. Often wonder if he knows I has 3! I placed all his property on the doorstep and lft it thee till he came to collect (locks were changed) then went to a friends till it was goneimage

What a warm and comfortable day it's been outside.

I have made up 10 pots: bulbs, and violas and also used Heuchera 'Palace Purple' in 3. GW mag recommendation, they are  small plants and can be planted in garden next year

Is the computer fixed yet Liz?

Had a e-mail saying car is due for it's MOT, image

My ex was driving in my car, while I had a company car. He would not agree its value, as part of his settlement,  as he said it was not worth that much to him.

So I sold it to someone who did appreciate its value.   Oh dear, no wheels. shame.
