Thanks for kind wishes about poorly, I'm not ill, best to describe is I went to bed on Friday night with 10 toenails and got up Sat' with 9. It hadn't been sore or turned black, I just dropped a bar of soap on it a few days / weeks ago ? Now it's gone missing leaving a raw sore image toe. Nurse KEF has kept it clean and covered during the day & let air to it at night. It's going to be a very pretty foot in sandals.

    Countryfile were discussing Halal meat.

Best get on, as hop along & broken back have lawns to cut at Mum's. image

Good morning all. Another lovely day. Shall attack the big herbaceous border, which still has all the dead stuff I left over winter for the wildlife.

Dove, you can't have read back, Countryfile had a nasty bit about abattoirs or something. I only saw the 2nd half so missed it.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Oh, missed that image

I've got a huge issue with the closure some years ago of small local abattoirs which necessitated long journeys for cattle on their way to the big ones.

But my guess that wasn't the nub of the discussion ........

Ouch KEF image Glad I didn't watch Countryfile, can't stand things like that and would have made me cross too.  I don't even like to think about where meat comes from really, which I know is silly image I always feel really sad when I see big trucks in the motorway packed full with cattle or sheep!

  • Morning all what a lovely day here.... Hope you are all ok.... 09.18 and half the lawn raked, grass seeded and top dressed with help of lo stomping it down.... I am determined to have a nice lawn again this summer.... Ran out of seed tho lol so may have to convince lo to get dressed and go to the GC for more but lo is saying she's sick so it may have to wait till the weekend!!!!
