    Swiss sue - love that quote - i am aspiring to be a real gardener!



    Stacey - tawny owls twit twoo to one another AND make a murderous screeching noise ( which was what woke me last night). Barn owls just screech - but it is a different sound - more of a hiss. Not sure about the other sorts. I would guess yours are tawnies.

    Morning all. Wild swan not for sale here yet. May have to get one in England next year, but I already have a load of plants, collected during the year waiting for places. There are some annuals to come out though.

    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Lily - wild swan quite difficult to get hold of at the moment - and also quite diff to keep alive ! I would wait til spring

    Sorry missed some birthdays hope you had a great tiem - that cake looked yummy

    Bit low at moment - very small black dog hanging aroundimage

    Tipping it down with rain, thank goodness it began just as I returned from dog walk.

    Still have planters to pot up with bulbs, probably tomorrow,

    Also I have some of those little blue allium bulbs but not sure what to do. I had planned to put them in the ground but the bulbs are so small I think they will just get scattered. Don't want comtaner really image
