I am very normal because I have a highly intelligent Border Collie who knows he is not allowed on the flower garden lawn. He also knows he mustn't steal food from tables. Once a member of the local Chasse (French) left a joint of venison (he didn't know I'm not keen on the Chasse) on a table in the covered terrace for me. I was out shopping. When I got home my dog was sitting there, salivating, but he hadn't touched it!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
