Think I've confused some people - auction very early tomorrow - gardening today - but first I've been striking up a relationship with some nice people at Virgin - internet disappeared TWICE!!! Nice young man says he doesn't think it will disappear again today ..................... It had better not!!!
Fb - from time to time Pa manages to remove his catheter - think when he's drowsy he gets the 'wiring' confused with his 'Emergency' button
Have a lovely day tomorrow
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all, fab moon pic AWB. I must admit I did get up at about 5.30 and from our toilet window could see the moon going down behind the trees at the back of our house - obviously not right there but it was so big it looked like it was, and it had a beautiful 'tangerine' glow as the sun was rising on the other side of the house......I was tempted to get my camera but bed was too tempting
Have a good day everyone and good luck all exam takers, my big boy has a day off today and is on a geography field trip, he only has 3 science GCSE exams this year, the really big ones are next year
It's an annual grass for my feather bed and what's more I can tell the difference between that and the hundreds of dandelions which have also germinated everywhere, in all seed trays whether outside or in GH
None of the seedlings are getting any bigger at all, they seem stagnant - any advice? does this happen? Am I pussyfooting around them too much, most should be outside but still moving back to GH overnight I've got sweet peas (honest), statice, aubrieta, nigella, morning glory and marigolds. Sunflowers in pots growing well (yes the ones I labelled as sweet peas) they are in open cold frame.
My seedlings seemed to 'stop' for a couple of weeks but in the last week or so have suddenly started again and have grown quite a lot - these included the sunflowers, morning glory, marigolds (some of which are even flowering now), cosmos and chillies. I think maybe they just needed a rest
Yesterday wasn't a good day - it rained, I lost my shiny ring (pinged off my desk in a flurry of paperwork), found out the company I work for almost didn't have enough money to pay us last month, partner found out the stag do he's been organising has fallen to bits as the stag was so late (months and months) handing over his cash contribution that all the sites are booked up so he really doesn't know what to do now as everything else is booked, he also forgot his lunch and thus was generally grumpy so wont put my name forward to the company he works for as they've the idea job for me... and generally just not a fun kind of day.
Today its sunny (I've parked my truck in just the right position that the sun is currently reflecting off my shiny paintwork into the sales engineers window - how clever am I?) and I come to my desk to find the cleaners found my ring (plus 25 pence, and a pair of safety glasses that were lost two weeks ago!) There's gluten free chocolate in my desk drawer (for at least the next fifteen minutes) and I get to hear that Mike is "okay".
Oh Clari. What can I say? Glad today has started better. Phone the company yourself, do it now, sens an email, cv, etc... Ideal job? it must be garden related , too good to miss cos OH grumpy.
To the rubbish day yesterday Clari, but it's gone now.....in the past and today has started off well so keep positive and enjoy the sunshine reflecting off your truck (is it really a truck - I'd be scared stiff driving a truck!)
