Off to the kitchen to make something useful. Shocking weather out there, can't see a thing and trees swaying like demented souls. Fingers still crossed no more fall.
have a good day everyone , hope you are not going to get wet.

My garden is a right off now I think, in my newbieness I didn't stake enough either!! Lavatera (which was staked but not well enough it seems), Cosmos, even my Busy Lizzie's all battered, Lily flowers all gone and the sunflowers have just about survived (I still have one in the kitchen!). If the wind doesn't stop. I won't have any apples or plums left either and the hounds have already been out 'hoovering up' the plums, it's that time of year when Daisy turns into a squirrel and buries apples......just in case I decide to starve her so she has a supply (Mad dog!!)
Quite agree with you OL, cant stand doctors myself. I think waiting till after hols. is a great idea. Sure you will feel much better. However if you dont, bite the bullet and get seen.
Dont worry about the garden, I have been failing to stake stuff properly for 20 years, although I am gradually getting better. It would not be so much fun, if you did not find things you can do better next year.
What was happening in Blackpool this weekend?
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team

Im really sorry the wind has done so damage and continuing to do more today to you guys on here It's pretty breezy here but not on the scale you have it by the sounds of it
Bekki pls can you do me a bacon sandwich All talk of cake has made me hungry
Hope the poorly ones are feeling better and no one else has suffered too much storm damage. Poor LP . Still nice supply of logs for the winter.
I'm so excited. I've got a Hefty. I haven't seen a hedgehog for years, not even a squashed one on the roads . I let Khan, my german shepherd, out about midnight and he started barking. He'd found a small hedgehog. It took about 20 minutes for him to uncurl but I sat and looked for the meteor shower but the moon was too bright . It's a supermoon at the moment when it is bigger ad brighter than usual.

Most of my garden has been blown down, its a right mess now, my fault should have done more staking.
The good news is, the pond is dug and lined, and half full with all the rain we have had.
I just had to put my little yellow water lily in, although its just sitting on a ledge half covered.
