Good morning, altough actually afternoon here. Been thwarted in my attempt to get into garden today - twice! First OH needed my translating skills in Limoges (an hour away) to get his bike fixed, why he couldn't just point, smile and look stupid I don't know, he manages it with me most of the time, with the occassional grunt for good measure! Just on way back and a (paying) guest books in for three nights - have to do dusting and bed making now. Will have to be a quick flick because weather changing tomorrow - hope we don't get what you lot have had - and I am in a competition to win a virtual doughnut if I get get first fushia flower from a cutting - I am so competitive it's ridiculous!

Wish I could claim credit for grasses but they are at our local beach - beautiful walkway all the way down from the car park to the beach. I wanted them too but Verdun said they would be too big for me
OH grumpy because bike going to take all day to fix and he has to go back to collect it later - he is not having use of translating services then, not another hour drive and back, giving him correct money and a note!
Lovely 3 room guest house here (with pool) and lots of veranda's and 'hangy uppy' things - should have thought - next time!
Must get on with that dusting!

Verdun....as someone has already pointed out this morning, you are much older and wiser than me.... I didn't even know Cosmos grew so tall so that says it all really!! I won't put me off growing them next year though, but I will heed your advice and definitely pinch them back
DD, sounds lovely, I'd quite like a trip over to France, maybe I'll let you know when we want a weekend away and we can use your guest house
More than welcome - you can help with the weeding too! I would put the website on put think that would be breaking rules, only been on a few weeks - don't want to get barred already!
My new year resolution by the way it to stake, support and secure - already asked Santa for some multiple shapes and sizes of stakes!
