Have finished moving enough stuff out of the GH so I've now finished planting the tomatoes, sweet peppers and cucumbers.
Finished planting the outside tomatoes, peppers and courgettes, not the cucumbers - still hardening off. Planted French marigolds by the tomatoes and by the beans. Nasturtiums all coming up by the broad beans (which are flowering).
This afternoon, back to flower gardening.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Mrs. G. I'm very tempted too but I think the stress wouldn't be worth it. He let me work at a God awful company for eight months before I found this job because he kept "forgetting" to pass my CV onto his boss even though his boss asked him for it because they needed people who use the software I do.
Oh well. Not a gardening job so perhaps I ought keep looking til I find that job that comes with wellington boots and unlimited compost bins!
OL - its not a truck, just learnt the silly nickname "truck". Its a Land Rover Defender 110 crew cab and towers over everything else in the car park, very agricultural with a complete lack of mod cons most people expect of a vehicle (air bags, electric windows, CD player, insulation so that you can hear people talking in the vehicle rather than just listening to the engine...) Trouble is of course if we ever have bad weather I've no excuse for not getting in! However she's ideal for what I need her for. Not least because we can get a few ton of manure in the back in the morning and a quick pressure wash and she's all ready to go and do the family shop, or tow a fire engine...
This last hour until home time seems to be dragging on a bit. I think its because it knows I have a lot of ironing to do when I get home. Whose silly idea was it to have a king size bed? Those duvets are huuugggeee!!!
I've given some more neighbours some more plants They are getting to an almost manageable amount now and I feel like I have done lots of good
I wish I had a neighbour like you! I'd love to have someone to swap plants with (not to mention someone who treats their garden as more than a place to dry laundry / dump childrens toys!) I did look at a "plant swap community" online that I'd seen mentioned on here but it seemed to have been over taken with professionals rather than the likes of me who went a little crazy with the seeds or who couldn't get certain plants to germinate.
Hurry up 17:00! Don't you realise I could be in my garden now?
Whereabouts are you again Clarington? South Yorks? I may be having a trip over there tomorrow to Hoylandswaine area if you're close I could drop some plants off for you if you need some? I still have lots of chillies and you could have a courgette
Soon be home time Your description of the truck made me smile
